ANDY MURRAY has tested positive for coronavirus just days before he is due to fly to the Australian Open.
The former world No1 was planning to travel to Melbourne this week before entering the country’s mandatory two-week hotel quarantine.

But Murray returned a positive test ‘several days ago’ and is experiencing mild symptoms.
However, he is still hopeful he will be able to get to tournament, which starts on February 8.
It is understood there has been a minor Covid-19 outbreak at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre in Roehampton where the Scot was training in the build-up to the Grand Slam event.
Fellow British star Paul Jubb also contracted the virus, the report added.
